HANDWOVEN ON THE TIBETAN PLATEAU

Founded by mother and daughter Kim and Dechen Yeshi in 2007, Norlha is the Tibetan Plateau’s first yak khullu atelier.

Our products are handcrafted by former nomads, who have spun, woven and felted for generations.

We believe in balancing modern technology and traditional knowledge to create lasting, beautiful pieces while supporting our local community.

YAK KHULLU

Grown as a dense undercoat beneath the yak's characteristic long, shaggy hair, khullu gives protection during the extreme winters of the plateau before it is naturally shed at the beginning of summer.

Yak khullu is an innately ethical fibre, prized for its softness, durability and warmth.
