Living (room) on the Pasture

Ten years ago, in 2009, we were just beginning our photo shoot history. We had a new product, willing models and the endless grassland for backdrop. Creating scenes showing the pastoral world colliding with that of modern fashion was irresistible and we decided to shoot a living room scene ‘in the middle of nowhere’ which of course was somewhere, the tabletop spot above Dechen’s house. Models and stylists (of sorts) took Dechen and Yidam’s red couch and carried it to the top. We planned to add a lamp, a touch of absurdity to complete the look, but the wind was fierce and tore up shade in minutes.
