Flower Garlands

Late Spring on the pasture is marked by the appearance of red and white clumps of Stellera Chamaejasme, or Ramarichok in Tibetan and attractive flowering plant that is both medicinal and toxic. Tibetan herders consider it toxic, yak and sheep share this notion and avoid it, resulting in its abundance. Little girls delight in it, seeing it as a preferable flower for garlands. Tibetan doctors use Stellera Chamaejasme for treating tumors and other ailments.
